GEORGETOWN – The Finance and Advisory Board will be holding an FY26 Budget Forum for all town departments on Saturday.
This public forum will be held Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to about 2:30 pm. in the Penn Brook Elementary School Cafeteria, 68 Elm St.
During the forum, town departments, including police, fire, and schools, will be presenting their proposed budget to the Finance Advisory Board.
Presentations will include the various impacts as it relates to level funding and needs-based funding for the 2025-2026 budget.
The Board reviews all requests to raise and appropriate money and makes formal recommendations to Town Meeting voters on all spending requests.
The schedule for presentations for the proposed budget meeting is as follows:
- Town Clerk, 9 a.m.
- Council on Aging 9:15 a.m.
- Planning/Conservation, 9:30 a.m.
- Assessor, 10 a.m.
- Board of Health, 10:15 a.m.
- Building/ZBA, 10:30 a.m.
- Parks and Recreation, 10:45 a.m.
- Treasurer/Collector, 11 a.m.
- Town Accountant, 11:15 a.m.
- BREAK- 11:30 a.m.
- Highway, 12 p.m.
- Library, 12:15 p.m.
- Fire, 12:30 p.m.
- Police, 12:45 p.m.
- Georgetown Public Schools, 1 p.m.
- Select Board, 1:45 p.m.
The meeting will not be live-streamed. Community members who are not able to attend can watch a recording of the forum on Georgetown Community TV.
